Your Last Will and Testament is a very important document. They can be very complex and Will kits can not cover every eventuality. In order to ensure that your Last Will and Testament accuratley reflects your wishes you need a lawyer to draft it for you. What are Enduring Guardianship and Enduring Power of Attorney's?
 
 
These are legal documents that are important to have in place should something unforseen happen to you. If you lack mental capacity to make your own decisions you want someone you trust and who knows what you would want, to be in control of your medical and financial care. These documents nominate the person you want to be making these desisions on your behalf.
 
Enduring Guardianship documents are documents that give your nominated guardian the power to act on your behalf with regards to matters relating to your personal care such as where you would live, what medical attention you require.
 
Enduring Power of Attorney documents give your nominated Attorney the power to act on your behalf with regards to decisions relating to your finances such as banking, utilities, leases and other contractual arrangements.
 
 
I own a small business and some customers won't pay their accounts, what should I do?

 

Seek to negotiate a settlement with your debtor. If unsuccessful you can file in the Small Claims division of your Local Court for debts under $10,000.00. For debts over $10,000.00 and up to $100,000.00 where you haven't been able to negotiate a satisfactory resolution, you can instruct a lawyer to assist you in medieating a satisfactory resolution, or failing this to manage your matter in the General Division of your Local Court. I am having problems at work with my boss, is this discrimination?

 

Discrimination is a very complex area of law. If you believe your problems at work with your boss stem from your sex, race, marital or domestic status, age, religion, disability, transgender staus or carer's responsibilities, it may be unlawful discrimination.
